The Orlando Economic Partnership today announced that Brooke Hill has been named Orlando Film Commissioner. Hill, who has led day-to-day operations of the Orlando Film Commission for the past five years, will oversee strategy, production services, and industry development to attract, retain, and expand film, television, commercial, and digital media projects across the Orlando region.

Under Hill’s leadership, the Commission has strengthened its production services, streamlined permitting support with local jurisdictions, and expanded concierge assistance for projects of all sizes, from independent features and streaming series to national commercials and branded content. Hill’s team has deepened relationships with studios, producers, and location managers while showcasing the Orlando region’s world-class locations, skilled crew base, and business-friendly environment.

“I’m honored to serve as Orlando Film Commissioner and continue the work our team has advanced over the past five years,” said Hill. “Orlando’s unique locations, experienced crew, and innovation assets make this a premier production destination. Film production is a strategic economic driver that creates jobs, generates regional spending, and positions Orlando within the innovation economy.”

“Our focus is on responsive service and strong industry partnerships that attract productions, retain creative talent, and ensure this sector contributes meaningfully to our region’s economic growth.”

The Orlando Film Commission, a program of the Orlando Economic Partnership, serves as the region’s one-stop resource for production. The Commission provides location consultation and scouting support; connects producers with experienced crew and vendors; coordinates with city and county partners on permits and logistics; and promotes the region’s production assets to domestic and international decision-makers.

By removing friction for filmmakers and content creators, the Commission helps catalyze direct local spending, support small businesses, and sustain quality jobs in production, post-production, equipment rental, hospitality, transportation, and related sectors.

Last fiscal year, the Orlando Film Commission delivered:

166 film permits for local jurisdictions

$16.3 million in reported actual local economic impact

1,867 crew jobs

512 cast jobs

“Brooke’s proven leadership and industry relationships position Orlando for continued growth in film, TV, and digital production,” said Tim Giuliani, President & CEO of the Orlando Economic Partnership.

“The Film Commission’s work brings new dollars into our community, supports local jobs, and elevates global awareness of Orlando as a serious business destination, not only for entertainment production but for the broader innovation economy anchored here.”

The Orlando Film Commission also now supports the Orange County $25 million Film Incentive Program, a five-year commitment made by Orange County to attract high-value film and television projects to the region and stimulate tourism.  The Film Incentive Program was approved by the Orange County Board of County Commissioners on November 18, 2025, following recommendations from a Film Incentive Working Group of local industry experts. The group conducted a nationwide review of successful incentive models and developed a program tailored to Orange County’s resources and growth potential.
