TAMPA, Fla. — UPDATE: Florida Avenue has reopened. Details into the crash are unknown at this time. 

A crash has shut down part of Florida Avenue in Hillsborough County on Thursday evening.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office initially reported the closure at around 4 p.m. All southbound lanes near Fletcher Avenue are blocked off.

Drivers are asked to seek an alternate route.
