TAMPA, Fla. — A U.S. KC-135 refueling tanker was lost over Iraq on Thursday, according to U.S. Central Command.Â
Two aircrafts were involved in the incident, officials say. One of the aircraft went down in western Iraq, and the second landed safely.Â

There is a fleet of KC-135s that call MacDill Air Force Base home. 10 Tampa Bay News has reached out to the 6th Air Refueling Wing to find out if this is one of their aircraft and crew, however, they referred us to Central Command without comment.
