KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Hamburger Mary’s has officially found a new home.
In an announcement on social media, the bar and restaurant chain known for its drag shows and flamboyant dining experience, said it’s moving into Kissimmee’s Old Town complex.
After it closing its downtown Orlando location in May 2024, the restaurant announced that it was eyeing Kissimmee. The owners said it will occupy the former Shoney’s restaurant near the front of Old Town, just off U.S. 192.
“We are so excited, but we have work to do before we get open, to turn a Shoney’s into a colorful and vibrant new Hamburger Mary’s location that we know you will love,” the post states.
No grand opening date has been set, and the restaurant told followers it needs time to renovate the space.
The closure of Hamburger Mary’s downtown Orlando location drew attention after the chain successfully sued the DeSantis administration over a law that restricted certain live performances.
Hamburger Mary’s operates as a locally owned chain with several U.S. locations.
