LAUDERHILL, Fla. — A former Lauderhill police officer was arrested Thursday in connection with a hit-and-run investigation conducted by the Davie Police Department, authorities confirmed.

Authorities said Thomas Edward Manfredi, who was hired by the Lauderhill Police Department on Aug. 4, 2025, and was on probation at the time, was terminated from the agency Wednesday, the same day they learned of the investigation.

Jail records show he is facing one count each of failure to stop or remain at an accident involving serious injury and knowingly giving false information to law enforcement in an alleged crime.

Manfredi, 33, appeared in Broward County bond court Friday, where his bond was set at $20,000. A judge also ruled that he is not allowed to leave the tri-county area.

He was not listed as an inmate on the Broward County Sheriff’s Office Main Jail website as of Friday afternoon.

No further details about his arrest were immediately released.

Local 10 News has requested a copy of his arrest report from the Davie Police Department.
