The beauty of living in St. Pete is being so close to one of the best beaches in America, St. Pete Beach. To make beach life even better, we’re excited to see the opening of Sun Drunk, a brand-new beach-themed boutique just seconds away from the sand.

Sun Drunk has been a favorite at the area’s local markets for years, and they recently opened their first-ever store at 409 Corey Ave. The brick-and-mortar shop is owned and operated by a wonderful local family. You can follow the store on Instagram here!

All your beach needs in one place

Sun Drunk is your one-stop shop for everything you’ll need to make your beach days unforgettable. Inside, you’ll find an assortment of locally sourced goods perfect for the beach. Some Sun Drunk favorites include Turkish towels, UPF clothing, beach-focused hats, coastal-inspired clothing, skincare essentials, and cool bags.

“We have our typical bestsellers — Turkish towels, UPF (ultraviolet protection factor) shirts,” owner Cat Lepitit told Bay News. “Then we added more to the store with swimwear and any cover-ups you need for the beach and jewelry. Everything you need to go to the beach in style.”

St. Pete Beach recovers from storms

St. Pete Beach was one of the places devastated by Hurricane Helene and Milton in late 2024. The shoreline was wrecked, and businesses in the area experienced serious flooding and damage. Since then, a year has passed, and much of St. Pete Beach has been restored. Sun Drunk is a perfect example of the healing that is taking place. As one of our favorites at local markets, we’re stoked to see Sun Drunk’s new store pop up on Corey Ave.

Even with their new store, Sun Drunk is still very much involved in the local community. You can still catch them at local markets and festivals. Look out for them at upcoming Mezzo Markets!
