Fred Eppsteiner, the founding teacher of the Florida Community of Mindfulness (FCM), will lead a half-day Forum of Mindfulness Practices and Teachings on Saturday, March 28 from 9 am to 1 pm. FCM members and non-members are welcome to attend. The event will be in Celebration Hall at Unity of Naples, 2000 Unity Way, Naples 34112 and will include sitting and walking meditation, as well as Q&A with Fred. Persons attending are encouraged to bring a brown bag lunch. The fee of $20 for the March 28 event is for rent of the facility. Fred, a former Naples psychotherapist, formed the Naples Buddhist sangha before relocating to Tampa, where the sangha now has several hundred members throughout the Gulf Coast area of Florida and beyond. It is a major Buddhist learning community with residential retreat facilities and offers teachings in the traditions of Thich Nhat Hanh, as well as Tibetan, Chan and other Buddhist traditions.
Also, Fred will lead the weekly Naples Sunday Sangha meeting on Sunday, March 29 at 6-8 pm at Celebration Hall at Unity of Naples. All are welcome. Sunday meetings are free; donations are welcome.
