A large amount of narcotics were found at a Miami smoke shop that was raided by SWAT during an undercover operation that led to a man’s arrest, authorities said.
The raid happened Thursday at Ark Smoke Shop along the 2200 block of Biscayne Boulevard.
According to an arrest report, Miami Police conducted an undercover operation at the shop and were sold 72.7 grams of psilocybin, also known as mushrooms, and 14.6 grams of marijuana for $94.
The man who police said sold the drugs, 25-year-old Andrey Lopez, was taken into custody, the report said.
According to the report, SWAT executed a search warrant at the business and found a large amount of drugs including:
28,825 grams of pre-rolls of suspected marijuana
43,950 grams of suspected marijuana infused edibles
48,485 grams of suspected THC vape pens/cartridges
20,755 grams of suspected psilocybin infused edibles
5,080.8 grams of suspected 7-Hydroxymitragynine
6,335 grams of suspected marijuana
16,780 grams of marijuana infused beverages
A clear plastic bag with estimated 5.1 grams of psilocybin
26 glass containers containing an estimated 1,445 grams of suspected THC wax
$1,438 in cash
Video from Only in Dade showed a person in a nun outfit sitting nearby during the raid.
Aerial footage from Chopper 6 also showed authorities raiding the business and taking multiple people into custody, though police said only Lopez was arrested.
Lopez, of Homestead, faces a number of charges related to the possession and sale of the drugs.
“We count on the public’s help, this information, if you go to a place where they sell these types of narcotics, to please contact the City of Miami, give us that information as it will be crucial in us solving and closing another business that’s doing illegal business selling drugs to our youths,” Miami Police spokesman Michael Vega said.
