CAPTIVA ISLAND, Fla. (WINK) — The Mucky Duck Restaurant on Captiva Island has reopened after Hurricane Milton damage, according to their Facebook page.

The Fort Myers Beach Fire Department assisted with the review process to expedite permitting for Captiva.

The restaurant, which opened in 1976, survived damage from Hurricane Ian and Hurricane Helene. However, the restaurant did not have enough time to be fortified ahead of surging waters from Hurricane Milton,

The restaurant said on Saturday that it now has a new kitchen and computer systems.
