BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – The Cardiac Jaguars did it again.
Michael Jacobs’ three-pointer at the buzzer gave Southern a 73-70 win over Florida A&M to put the Jaguars in the SWAC tournament finals. Jacobs finished with a game-high 19 points off the bench.
Southern’s biggest lead was 14 points in the first half before FAMU rallied to take the lead in the early second half. The teams went back and forth the rest of the way before Jacobs made the dagger.
Southern will play Prairie View A&M tomorrow night at 6:30 p.m. central for an automatic bid in the NCAA Tournament. The game will be televised on ESPNU.
