Deputies said they found 2 people inside a vehicle in a ditch just after 1 a.m. Sunday morning in Ruskin.
RUSKIN, Fla. — A man is dead and a woman is injured after they were found inside a vehicle in a ditch with gunshot wounds in Hillsborough County.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded after 1 a.m. Sunday to a reported shooting in the area of White Chicory Drive at Apollo Beach.
Officials later found a vehicle in a ditch along 19th Avenue Northeast in Ruskin, where two people were inside suffering from gunshot injuries.
The driver, a man, was taken to a hospital where he later died. A woman was also taken to a hospital and is said to be stable.
The investigation into this shooting is ongoing.
