Man found shot dead inside abandoned Jacksonville building

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting after finding a man dead inside an abandoned building.

Officers said they responded around 9:40 p.m. Saturday to the area of West 12th Street, where they found a man inside the building with at least one gunshot injury. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

JSO says it does not know the relationship of the parties involved, nor the circumstances surrounding the shooting, but is looking for any witnesses and video surveillance.
