TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Ahead of St. Patrick’s Day, families came out to The Hub at Feather Oaks for an Irish celebration Sunday.
“This is probably one of my favorite holidays out of all of them,” Co-Owner Evan Carruthers said. “We go all out with the green beer.”
The day featured live music from the Dram O’Day Band and performances by the Tally Irish Step Dancers.
Carruthers said their goal is to celebrate with the community, while supporting other local organizations. “I always like to try to have four or five local beers on. We’ve got the local Irish step dancers, local music,” Carruthers said. “It’s a great feeling.”
There were also face paintings and games for kids. Carruthers said the Irish holiday always brings a great crowd to The Hub. “Just a great St. Patrick’s Day atmosphere,” he said.
This is the third year of the St. Patrick’s Day celebration at The Hub, and Carruthers said they look forward to continuing the event each year.
