HOBE SOUND, Fla. (CBS12) — There is a heavy law enforcement presence in Hobe Sound after paddleboarders discovered a young man floating in a waterway.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office said that law enforcement is in the area of the 11000 block of Indian River Drive North, at the intersection of Cabot and Heckler Drive near Greenfield Park.

The Sheriff’s Office said that Good Samaritans acted quickly, retrieving him from the water and performing CPR. The young man was subsequently transported to a local hospital for medical care.

As of now, the young man’s identity has not been released. Authorities will provide updates as more information becomes available.
