Children at Tampa Torah Academy learn about JNF’s work in Israel.
Mazi and Haim Goldenberg, representing Jewish National Fund (JNF) educated students about Israel’s geography, agriculture, special fruits and more.
Students enjoyed tasting the seven species of the land, learning about JNF’s incredible reforestation and community impact and hearing stories of Tu Bishvat “ba’aretz” (in Israel).
Classes learned about the elements of successful edible gardening and re-planted the school’s container garden indoors, since it has been too cold for seed-sprouting in the recent frigid temperature lows. Additionally, our Tampa Bay Torah High School girls “took it up a notch” in their signature style, by making fruit salads, painting the seven species on wooden medallions and sharing words of Torah about the special day- all led by students.
