Technical difficulties were too much for one couple, who were captured on video leaving their PeopleMover vehicle and walking to an emergency exit stairway during a brief pause on the Walt Disney World attraction.

According to her account, the PeopleMover briefly stopped during a temporary delay on the evening of March 14. Two guests climbed out of their ride vehicle, which was just about to enter the Space Mountain portion of the attraction. They walked in between another vehicle (which was exiting the Space Mountain section) before walking along the track to a set of emergency exit stairs.

The ride resumed operations “within 10 seconds” of the guests exiting. Nobody was harmed or injured, and cast members were quickly informed of the incident and were able to get photos of the two guests.

Here is the full video:

At 7:54 p.m. on Saturday, March 14th 2026 two guests jumped out of their ride vehicle (vehicle 2) on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover. The ride was experiencing a temporary delay so the ride was stationary at the time. The incident occurred on the section of track just before going into Space Mountain. A second ride vehicle (vehicle 11, leaving space mountain) was stopped directly next to vehicle 2. The two guests climbed out of their seats in between the two vehicles. They walked around vehicle 2 and along the track to a set of emergency stairs and exited the ride. The ride started moving again within 10 seconds of the guests getting off the ride. No one was harmed or injured during or after the events. Cast members, leadership, and managers were all informed about the incident and were able to get a proper reference photo of each of the perpetrators. I’m not sure if they were ever found. The ride was stopped, inspected, cleared before resuming normal operations following the events.
