Mickey Mouse surprised guests this week as he joined the Main Street Philharmonic at Magic Kingdom. The offering has not been officially announced by Disney and we don’t know for sure if it will become permanent.
Mickey and Main Street Philharmonic

The philharmonic performs a few times in the late morning and early afternoon in the Hub in front of Cinderella Castle. Band Leader Mickey appeared during the band’s first sets at 11:10 a.m. on Sunday, March 15 and Monday, March 16. According to cast members, he will only do this during the first set of the day.
Mickey interacted with guests and danced during the songs. It’s rare guests get to interact this closely with Mickey outside of set meet and greets.
Cast members couldn’t share more details of whether this is a permanent offering or not. One told us it was a “surprise” for the day, although we know it has happened two days in a row.
Mickey’s appearance may be testing for now. It could also depend on the weather and crowds. We were stopped by a cast member surveying guests about the experience and made sure to tell them we enjoyed it.
The band also performs at 12:40 p.m., 2:35 p.m., and 3:35 p.m. most days. Watch our video below:
