More footers have been installed in the area behind Despicable Me Minion Mayhem.

On the left in the photo above is a recently added service building and on the right are very large concrete forms, which could be switch track for the 170 foot tall spike element of the ride. This centerpiece feature of the coaster will send riders 17 stories into the air above CityWalk before a return backward vertical drop.

The maintenance building continues to show progress, as more of the floor structure on the lower level has been added. The center of the photo will be the location of the ride station.

Here is a closer look at the gray floor that has almost filled in that level.

Concrete has been poured and is being finished for the second level of the station. In our previous reporting, we shared photos when this level was being prepared to receive concrete.

The first iteration of Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift will open at Universal Studios Hollywood this year. It consists of 4,100 feet of track, sound reduction technology, and 360-degree rotation to create the sensation of drifting and is on a mountainside in California.

The Florida version of Hollywood Drift won’t be identical to the California version, but it will likely have the same theming and drifting effects, though.
