TAMPA — A 7-year-old girl was fatally injured when she and two other children were struck by a pickup truck.
The crash occurred 7:50 p.m. Oct. 19 at the intersection of North 56th Street and Society Park Boulevard.
The Florida Highway Patrol said a Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 34-year-old Hialeah man was traveling southbound on North 56th Street when three children ran across the roadway into the path of the vehicle and were struck.
The 7-year-old was transported to an area hospital, where she died.
An 11-year-old girl and an 8-year-old boy were taken to an area hospital with injuries said to be non-life-threatening.
