HART officials announced it is expanding its service hours ahead of thousands of fans expected to attend the first and second round games happening in Tampa.

TAMPA, Fla. — As Tampa gears up for the 2026 NCAA Men’s March Madness tournament, the Hillsborough Transit Authority (HART) is helping fans navigate the excitement with convenient, stress‑free transportation options. 

HART officials announced it is expanding its service hours this coming Sunday until midnight, ahead of thousands of fans expected to attend the first and second rounds of this year’s tournament.

Streetcar hours during Men’s March Madness first and second rounds:

Thursday, March 19: 7:00 a.m. – 11 p.m.Friday, March 20: 7:00 a.m. – 2:00 a.m.Saturday, March 21: 8:30 a.m. – 2:00 a.m.Sunday, March 22: 8:30 a.m. – midnight (extended service)

The TECO Line Streetcar provides a fare-free, 2.7-mile route connecting to downtown Tampa, the Channel District and historic Ybor City, offering easy access to fans making their way to Benchmark International Arena.

Visitors traveling between Tampa International Airport and downtown can also use HART routes 10, 30 and 32, or PSTA’s 300X. Riders can pay fares through Flamingo Fares, track vehicles in real time with the Transit app and explore family‑friendly passes.
