TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Due to expected cold night temperatures, cold-weather shelters will open this week in Tallahassee and Thomasville.
This list will continue to be updated as we learn more.
Tallahassee
Shelters will be available Monday and Tuesday night, according to the Big Bend Continuum of Care.
Anyone in need of the shelters is encouraged to go to any of the locations below that best represent their household composition:
Single Adults (18 and over): The Kearney Center, located at 2650 Municipal WayFamilies (At least 1 adult and child): HOPE Community, located at 2729 West PensacolaYouth (ages 10-17): Capital City Youth Services, located at 2407 Roberts Ave. The hotline number is 850-576-6000.
Those in need of shelter must show up at their specified location anytime between 4 and 8 p.m. for intake.

Thomasville
According to Fountain of Life Rescue, its shelter will open Tuesday in addition to its normal schedule of Thursday through Monday nights.
Doors open at 6 p.m. at the shelter, located at 612 East Clay Street.
