TAMPA — A man was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 4 in Hillsborough County, authorities said.

The crash happened around 1:54 p.m. Oct. 20 near the No. 9 mile marker (U.S.-92 interchange).

The Florida Highway Patrol said a Ford F-250 driven by a 32-year-old Thonotosassa man was traveling westbound in the center outside lane when traffic ahead slowed to a stop. A Jeep Cherokee driven by a 34-year-old Lake Park man and a Kenworth dump truck driven by a 44-year-old Tampa man stopped accordingly.
