TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The Killearn home of iconic Florida State football oach Bobby Bowden’s has been sold at auction.
The 4,6000-square-foot home was sold for $670,000, according to Wiregrass Auction Group. There is a 10% buyer’s premium, bringing the total sale to $737,000.
Bidding for the estate started at $500,000.
The Bobby Bowden Legacy Auction spanned nearly two weeks and garnered over 8,000 bids within the first 24 hours.
Hundreds of items, including Florida State memorabilia and family heirlooms, were on the auction block.
One of the highest bids was $9,000 on Bowden’s 1993 and 2001 Orange Bowl Championship rings.
