Disney’s Blizzard Beach will be closed today, March 17, as a cold front moves into Orlando. Water parks frequently close when the temperatures get colder.
Disney’s Blizzard Beach Closure
While the Orlando area was hit by thunderstorms and lightning strikes—but warm temperatures—throughout the day on March 16, the Weather Channel is currently showing a high of 61° and a low of 46° tonight.
Volcano Bay at Universal Orlando Resort is also closed today.
Typhoon Lagoon recently closed for its seasonal refurbishment, so neither of the Disney water parks will be open for guests during those two days. Later in the year, both parks will operate simultaneously from May 26 through September 8, 2026, for Cool Kids’ Summer offerings.
