FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) — Fort Pierce police arrested a man Thursday afternoon after a mother called 911 out of concern for her children.

According to the Fort Pierce Police Department, officers responded around 3:48 p.m. to Mohawk Drive after the mother reported receiving threatening texts from the children’s father. When police arrived, they issued verbal commands through the door, then entered the home and found the man acting erratically while holding a knife.

He was taken into custody without incident.
