MIAMI — A woman is facing charges in connection with a 2022 fatal shooting that authorities say occurred in Miami’s West Little River neighborhood.

Skybruney Diondra Hall, 33, was arrested Tuesday and faces one count of accessory after the fact to a capital offense, according to jail records.

Officers with the Miami Police Department said the shooting happened on May 17, 2022, at U-Save Food Mart, located at 8201 NW 17th Ave.

Police said they responded to a ShotSpotter alert and found a man suffering from gunshot wounds in the parking lot.

They said Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported the victim to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead.

According to an arrest report, the victim had been involved in an argument with Davin Howell, 32, in the parking lot, which escalated when Howell pulled out a gun and shot him.

Authorities said the encounter was captured on surveillance video.

They said Howell fled the scene in a white, four-door Honda driven by Hall.

Witnesses later identified Howell as the gunman, and records show that he was arrested on May 31, 2022.

Authorities said he provided a recorded statement detailing his involvement in the killing.

Through the investigation, detectives later identified Hall as the driver seen on surveillance footage leaving the scene with Howell, according to the report.

On Tuesday, police said Hall went to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Homicide Bureau and gave a statement admitting her role.

The report states that Hall told investigators she was in her white Honda Accord Sport when Howell got into an argument with the victim. Hall said she heard gunshots and saw the victim on the ground.

According to the report, Hall said Howell got into her car after the shooting and told her he had shot the victim and “threw his life away.”

Police said she then drove him away from the crime scene and later dropped him off. Hall also admitted that she did not call 911 or contact investigators, despite knowing the victim had been killed, according to police.

As of Wednesday morning, Hall was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, where her bond was listed as “to be set.”

Records show Howell has remained in custody since his 2022 arrest. He is being held without bond at TGK on charges including second-degree murder, battery and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Police did not disclose what Hall and the victim were arguing about before the shooting occurred.
