TAMPA, Fla. (WINK)—MacDill Air Force Base issued a shelter-in-place order following a threat against the installation on Wednesday.

The base said in a Facebook post that officials are taking appropriate measures to prioritize safety and security. They stated it takes all threats seriously.
As a matter of policy, MacDill Air Force Base will not release specifics on what security measures have been implemented, the press release said.
The base indicated that more information will be released as it becomes available.
