TAMPA, Fla. (WINK) — MacDill Air Force Base lifted a shelter-in-place order that was placed earlier on Wednesday following a threat against the installation.
The Air Force base said in a Facebook post that the threat has been cleared and that they appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation.

The base said in a Facebook post earlier on Wednesday that officials are taking appropriate measures to prioritize safety and security. They stated that they take all threats seriously.
As a matter of policy, MacDill Air Force Base will not release specifics on the security measures implemented.
