CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women’s lacrosse team opens Atlantic Sun (ASUN) play this week with a pair of road games, first at Jacksonville, Fla., on Thursday, March 19, before trekking to Stetson on Saturday, March 21. Both games will be streamed live on ESPN+, with the first draw for each game slated for noon.
The Chanticleers enter conference play with a 6-2 overall record and are fresh off an 8-7 win over Vanderbilt in Nashville seven days ago. Coastal is 3-2 on the road this season, also posting wins at Charlotte and East Carolina.
Coastal finished 3-3 in the ASUN last season and earned the No. 4 seed in the conference tournament, where it knocked out top-seeded Jacksonville in the first round, 11-10. The Dolphins won the regular-season meeting in Conway, 22-10, and lead the all-time series 12-4.
The Chanticleers are 10-0 all-time against Stetson with a 6-0 mark in DeLand, Fla., including a 14-7 victory last season. Megan Hummel scored two goals in the game, while Alyson Mascolo, Alexandra Horn, Evelyn Kitchin and Sophie Kingsborough each added one. Charlotte Sadler collected nine saves.
Coastal is 5-2 all-time in ASUN openers but 0-1 when facing Jacksonville to start conference play.

• Coastal is off to its best start since 2021, when it also opened the season at 6-2.
• The Chanticleers have held their opponents to nine goals or fewer in each of the last four games.
• Charlotte Sadler is the reigning ASUN Defensive Player of the Week. She has won the award three times in the first six weeks of the season. She leads the ASUN in goals-against average (8.26) and save percentage (.496), while ranking second in total saves (63) and third in saves per game (7.88). Sadler also ranks among the top 10 NCAA Division I active goalkeepers in career saves (eighth, 404) and saves per game (ninth, 7.21).
• Alexandra Horn leads the Chanticleers in goals (16) and assists (16), which also makes her the team leader in points (32). She has at least one assist in every game and has scored a goal in seven of eight games. She ranks second in the ASUN in total assists and assists per game (2.00).
• Sophie Kingsborough is tied with Horn for the team lead in goals (16). She has scored a goal in every game this season and has multiple goals in seven games, including a season-high three against Sacred Heart. Her .667 free-position percentage (6 of 9) is tops in the conference.
• San Diego State transfer Nikki Seven has made an immediate impact on the Chanticleers. She is tied for third on the team in goals (11) and is second in assists (10) and points (21).
• Earlier this season, junior Evelyn Kitchin recorded her 200th draw control and is the program’s all-time leader with 207. She had 86 as a freshman, 81 as a sophomore and has 40 through the first eight games of 2026.
• Senior Alyson Mascolo has registered a point in six consecutive games; it is the third-longest streak on the team behind Horn and Kingsborough.
