Join the Cape Coral Museum of History as it welcomes Robert Greco, president of ACRA Electric, and his presentation on the history of the Cape Coral Veterans Memorial Marker tonight, Wednesday March 18. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with the presentation starting at 6 p.m.
Greco will highlight the great pioneers of Cape Coral, how the monument was designed, funded, constructed and dedicated. Originally dedicated in 1969, the monument was restored and rededicated in 2000 and again in 2020. Current plans are to relocate it due to the bridge and roadway improvements scheduled to begin in 2028.
Greco became involved with the monument in 1999 when ACRA Electric was asked to donate a lighting system.
RSVP is requested and there are still seats open.
The Cape Coral Museum of History is at 544 Cultural Park Blvd.
