A good stretch of weather to get outdoors for Tallahassee, the Big Bend and South Georgia☀️

  • March 19, 2026

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A good stretch of weather to get any outdoor errands or projects started or finished up, as the weather will be very cooperative over the next several days. Temperatures will gradually warm over the next few days, getting into the 80s by the weekend, which is just in time for the official start to spring on Friday.

This evening and overnight

If you’re heading out for dinner this evening, plan for pleasant spring weather. Temperatures will be in the upper 60s to low 70s with mostly clear skies. It’s a comfortable night to be outside.

Overnight will stay mild with lows dropping into the low 40s, with isolated upper 30s possible inland. Frost may develop in some areas, so if you have sensitive plants, you may want to cover them tonight.

Warm for the first day of Spring

Friday is shaping up to be a beautiful day. Highs will climb into the upper 70s inland, with afternoon seabreezes keeping the coast a few degrees cooler. Mostly sunny skies and light winds make it perfect for outdoor plans, whether that’s a lunch break outside or running errands.

If you’re heading to the beach, be aware of a moderate rip current risk despite the fair conditions. Check what beach flags are flying before you go in the water.

Overnight Friday into Saturday will be mild with lows in the low 50s.

Unseasonably warm weekend

If you have been missing the warmer weather, this weekend it is back! Highs will climb into the low 80s Saturday and Sunday, with some inland areas potentially reaching the mid to upper 80s Sunday and Monday.

It will be a great weekend to get outside, perfect for yard work, outdoor activities, or heading to the coast. Just remember that rip current risk continues due to onshore flow, even with the fair skies.

Boating conditions will be favorable with light winds and gentle breezes if you’re planning a trip out on the water.

Drought continues

While the warm weather is pleasant, the drought situation remains serious. No rain is expected through at least Monday next week, so severe to extreme drought conditions are likely to continue or worsen in the area.

A slight chance for rain early next week

A weak backdoor front may move through Tuesday into Wednesday, bringing slightly cooler temperatures and low-end rain chances. However, don’t count on it for drought relief. Any rain that does fall will be light.
