Orlando Bloom is embracing a new chapter by letting go of his longtime Malibu home.
The property has been in “The Lord of the Rings” star’s possession since 2011, while he was still married to Australian model Miranda Kerr.
Orlando Bloom ended his first marriage in 2013 and soon found love again with singer Katy Perry. The pair announced their separation in June 2025, marking the end of what many had believed would be the actor’s second trip down the aisle.

Nearly a year after Bloom and Perry ended their engagement, the entertainer decided to offload his Malibu property for a fresh start. He listed the extensively renovated beachfront property for $12 million on the market, after purchasing it for about $2.5 million in 2011.
According to The Wall Street Journal, Bloom bought the home with his then-wife and spent the early years of his son’s life on the property. After he and Kerr split in 2013, she lived in a home close by so that their son could be near both of his parents.
Given the memories Bloom shared with his son on the property, it made sense that he found it difficult to part with the home for years, despite not living there. He explained that he finally realized he was unlikely to return to the home after renting it out last year, saying, “It felt like it might be the right time to let it go.”

Bloom did not list the Malibu property for $12 million out of greed, as the home had undergone extensive renovations since he purchased it in 2011. Bloom claimed he spent more than twice what he originally paid for the house in renovations.
The Malibu house is a steal for any interested buyers as it is located in a gated community and features interiors designed by the artist and furniture designer Roy McMakin. It offers privacy and access to the beach, features that drew Bloom to the property when he first saw it.
Bloom claimed the house now has a slight “Japanese feel to it,” after he blew out the walls to make a more open-plan living room and kitchen area. He also added an outdoor pool overlooking the ocean. Additionally, the interior included colorful Mexican tiles and kitchen cabinets in sea-foam green.

Bloom’s decision to offload his past home came a month after he made waves at the 2026 Super Bowl. The Daily Mail shared pictures of Bloom arriving and leaving Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara with a much younger woman, 28-year-old bikini model Luisa Laemmel.
Laemmel and Bloom were seen arriving together, with the model walking a step ahead of him. An eyewitness claimed that they appeared to be more than friends, telling the outlet, “They were in the Raising Cane suite together, they were cute, they were touchy-feely.”
After the game, Bloom and his much younger companion exited the stadium with their arms entwined. The actor tried to keep a low profile, hiding his face behind a black baseball cap and a matching black zip-up jacket. Meanwhile, Laemmel flaunted her toned figure in a white crop top and jacket.
