Florida State kicker Conor McAneney was reportedly arrested Wednesday and charged with two third-degree felonies, per multiple reports.
McAneney was charged with battery on an officer, violently resisting an officer and trespassing, per arrest documents from the Broward County Sheriff’s Office.
Trespassing is considered a misdemeanor. The other two charges — battery on an officer and violently resisting an arrest, carry felony charges. In Florida, a third-degree felony can result in a maximum of five years in prison and up to a $5,000 fine.

McAneney — who was born in Ireland — spent the 2025 football season at Quincy, where he made seven of his 10 field-goal attempts. He joined Florida State in January. The Seminoles were looking to add more help at kicker after losing kickers Jake Weinberg and Brunno Reus to the transfer portal.
Florida State also brought in another kicker, Oklahoma State’s Gabe Panikowski, over the offseason.
