Get swim lessons, lifeguard certifications, at city pools

LARGO — The city of Largo is offering summer swim lessons at both the Highland Family Aquatic Center (HFAC) and Southwest Pool, providing children ages 3 and up with essential water safety skills. Lessons are available in May, June, and July 2026, with registration opening on April 1 for May sessions, and May 1 for June and July sessions. Classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at HFAC, and Mondays and Wednesdays at Southwest, with both morning and evening options available.

Swim lessons are $60 per session, with a valid Largo Recreation membership required. Scholarships are available for those who qualify. Approved applicants will receive 50% off the swim lesson fee. Scholarships provide a $50 credit per person and are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

Swim lesson registration will be available in person at any Largo recreation center or online.
