GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Head track and field coach Mike Holloway was recognized as the Men’s South Region Coach of the Year, the USTFCCCA announced Thursday.

The accolade comes just one week after Holloway was named the SEC Women’s Coach of the Year, marking his second recognition of the season.

Under the leadership of head coach Mike Holloway, the Florida Gators men’s track and field team finished third at the 2026 NCAA Indoor Championships, marking the men’s program’s 15th top-three indoor finish during his tenure. Florida also tied for the fifth-most male athletes qualified by a single school at the 2026 NCAA Indoor Championships. The Gators’ performance was highlighted by nine First Team All-America awards and three Second Team All-America nods on the men’s side.

Award winners were determined by a vote of USTFCCCA member coaches following the conclusion of the 2026 NCAA DI Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Performances from both the NCAA Championships and the regular season were considered. Only those individuals from USTFCCCA member programs are eligible for awards.

The full list of regional honorees can be found on the USTFCCCA website
