One injured in Leon County mobile home fire, TFD says

One dead following Wednesday mobile home fire on W. W. Kelley Road, Tallahassee firefighters say

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A mobile home fire on W.W. Kelley Road in Tallahassee Wednesday claimed one person’s life, according to the Tallahassee Fire Department.

TFD confirmed to WCTV Friday morning that the occupant crews pulled from the mobile home fire died.

The news comes just two days after the fatal fire occurred on W. W. Kelley Road. Just before 1 p.m. Wednesday, the fire department said crews were dispatched to a reported residential structure fire in that area.

Firefighters arrived shortly after and found heavy fire coming from a double-wide mobile home, TFD wrote in a press release a few hours after the incident transpired.

One victim was located inside the home at the time, but was removed by firefighters and transported from the scene by Leon County EMS, the release said.

The State Fire Marshal is currently investigating the cause of the fire.
