The Friday action at the Miami Open presented by Itau has been suspended due to rain at Hard Rock Stadium.
Two matches on outside courts at the ATP Masters 1000 event are currently suspended. On Court 6, Daniel Altmaier and Terence Atmane are locked at 1-1 in the opening set, while Thiago Agustin Tirante carved out a break point at 30/40 in the opening game of his clash with Valentin Royer before the rain arrived on Court 5.
Fans will be hoping the rain clears quickly with a bumper selection of matches scheduled for the rest of the day in Miami. On Stadium Court, the No. 1 player in the PIF ATP Rankings Carlos Alcaraz will take on #NextGenATP Brazilian Joao Fonseca in the opening match of the night session. It will be the pair’s maiden Lexus ATP Head2Head clash. Before then at 12 p.m. local time, 11th seed Casper Ruud will meet fast-rising home favourite Ethan Quinn.

Notable matches from the outside courts on Friday’s schedule include 10th seed Alexander Bublik against Matteo Berrettini, 28th seed Arthur Fils against #NextGenATP home favourite Darwin Blanch, and 21st seed Jiri Lehecka against 17-year-old Moise Kouame. On Thursday, French wild card Kouame became the youngest player to win a match in tournament history by overcoming Zachary Svajda in three sets.
