TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Alabama women’s golf team carded a team score of 3-over par 291 on Friday to sit in fourth overall after the opening round of the Florida State Matchup. 

Ryan Flynn leads the Tide after day one and sits in a tie for seventh overall at 1-under par 71, while Natachanok Tunwanna and Grace Crawford are tied for 15th after both carded a 1-over 73. 

THE HIGHLIGHTS


Alabama finished the day ranked second on par 5 scoring with a team total of 6-under par (4.70)
Ryan Flynn collected five birdies and four bogeys on the day to collect her team-leading sixth round of par or better
Natachanok Tunwannarux (four birdies) and Grace Crawford (three birdies) combined for seven total birdies on their way to 1-over total in day one
Harriet Lockley is in a tie for 24th overall at 2-over par 74
Mattison Frick, who recorded the team’s lone eagle of the day on the 475-yard par 5 11th , rounds out the Tide’s starting five in a tie for 36th after shooting a 4-over 76
Amanda Gyllner, who is competing as an individual, is in a tie for 31st at 3-over 76
