Florida Highway Patrol said a Honda sedan traveled into the man’s path, thus causing the crash.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A 30-year-old Jacksonville man died Friday evening after being hit by a Honda while riding a motorcycle on Blanding Boulevard, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

In a release, FHP said the driver of the Honda, a 38-year-old Orange Park woman, was crossing Blanding Boulevard east after exiting a parking lot.

The man was reportedly traveling south on the road, approaching Collins Road.

FHP said the woman traveled into the man’s path, causing the front of the Honda to collide with the rear left side of the man’s motorcycle.

When paramedics arrived, troopers said the man was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died.

According to FHP, the woman did not suffer any injuries in the crash, nor did two children who were in her car. Troopers did not release the identities of those involved in the incident.
