Sophomore Lalenii Grant highlighted the meet by improving on her personal record and top-10 mark in the discus throw for a third place finish in Florida. At the time of this publication, she is ranked third in the nation with a 56.81m throw.
Skyler Smith entered the program’s top 10 in two different events – the 800m and the 1500m.
Nattaly Lindo is now eighth in program history with a personal record in the shot put.
Amelia Benjamin and Miyanah Robinson made their 2025-26 debut on the high jump after sitting out during the indoor season due to injury. Benjamin finished third at her average height in 2025.

NEXT: The Great Danes will return to Florida in two weeks with a select group of athletes to compete in the Pepsi Florida Relays (Apr. 3-4) while a majority of the team will remain in the Northeast for the UConn Dog Fight Meet on April 4.
