MIAMI, Fla. — Middle Tennessee(5-12, 1-4 CUSA)  fell 5-2 to Delaware (12-2, 1-1 CUSA) on Saturday at the PayCargo Tennis Center.  

Delaware secured the doubles point with wins on courts one and three. Maryia Hrynashka and Paulina Jurkowska highlighted the effort with a 6-0 victory over Sara Conde and Sthefany Lima on court one.  

Middle Tennessee answered on court two, where Zora Koenig and Rutuja Chaphalkar outlasted Amelia Gorman and Navya Vadlamudi in a tiebreak, 7-6 (11-9), but it was not enough to claim the point. In singles play, Middle Tennessee earned its two points on courts two and three. Koenig posted a 7-5, 6-3 win over Jurkowska at No. 2, while Lima followed with a 7-6 (7-2), 6-3 victory against Gorman on court three.

Delaware responded with wins on courts five and six to regain the lead. Sara Conde fell 6-4, 6-2 on court five, and Sadbaroy Kholdarova dropped a 6-3, 6-3 decision on court six as the Blue Hens moved ahead 3-2. Chaphalkar opened strong on court four, taking the first set 6-1, but Lara Russiniello rallied to win the next two sets, 6-3, 6-4, to give Delaware a 4-2 advantage. 

With the match on the line, Lena Peyer forced a third set on court one after splitting the opening two sets. However, Hrynashka pulled away in the final set for a 6-3, 5-7, 6-1 win to clinch the match for Delaware.
