The Jaguars have signed Seahawks wide receiver Jake Bobo to an offer sheet in free agency
The Seattle Seahawks have been busy this offseason, as they have indicated they intend on trying to run it back and go on another championship run after just having won Super Bowl LX this past year. However, the front office has some difficult decisions to make on their own players, and while several guys have returned to town, others could be headed for the exit door.
One guy who falls in the latter crew is wide receiver Jake Bobo. While he was buried on the Seahawks’ depth chart for much of the 2025 campaign, Bobo has proven he can be a solid secondary receiver when needed. Seattle is letting him test the open market, though, and it may have a decision to make after the Jacksonville Jaguars made a move for the talented wideout on Friday.
Jake Bobo Signs Offer Sheet with Jaguars
The Jaguars are signing Seahawks restricted free agent WR Jake Bobo to an offer sheet; Seattle has five days to decide on whether to match the offer.
Bobo has 36 catches in his first three NFL seasons, including a 17-yard TD in the NFC Championship game last season.

Bobo didn’t hear his name called during the 2023 NFL Draft, but he still managed to latch on with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent. Bobo has spent the past three years with the Seahawks, catching 34 passes for 323 yards and three scores during his time on the field. Bobo also plays special teams for Seattle, and he is arguably its best run blocker at the wide receiver position.
With restricted free agency looming for Bobo, the Seahawks had to decide whether or not they wanted to tender Bobo. Ultimately, the front office placed a one-year, $3.52 million right-of-first-refusal tender on Bobo. This allows teams to sign Bobo to an offer sheet, but Seattle will have an option to match any offer Bobo signs with another team. Should he leave, though, the Seahawks wouldn’t receive any draft-pick compensation.
For the past week or so, Bobo has been testing the open market, and it appears he’s gotten an offer that he likes from the Jags, as he’s put pen to paper on an offer sheet. Now, Seattle’s front office has five days to decide whether or not it wants to match Jacksonville’s offer for Bobo. If they decide to match, he will return to the Seahawks, but if they don’t, he will be headed to the Jaguars.
“The Jaguars are signing Seahawks restricted free agent WR Jake Bobo to an offer sheet; Seattle has five days to decide on whether to match the offer,” Field Yates of ESPN reported in a post on X. “Bobo has 36 catches in his first three NFL seasons, including a 17-yard TD in the NFC Championship game last season. He’s also been a key member of their special teams units and their best blocking WR.”
Should Seahawks Match Jaguars’ Offer Sheet for Jake Bobo?

The Seahawks initially weren’t planning on tendering Bobo ahead of the start of free agency, but they changed their mind at the last second, and it appears to have been a good decision, as the Jaguars want Bobo. While the financial terms of the offer are unknown, it’s fair to say that the deal would average more than the $3.52 million Bobo would earn if he signed his tender with Seattle.
Bobo fills his role well with the Seahawks, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they have to go above and beyond to bring him back to town. With Rashid Shaheed re-signing with Seattle in free agency, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Cooper Kupp still in town, Bobo probably wouldn’t be getting many snaps again in 2026. While it will depend on the price, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Seahawks let Bobo leave for the Jaguars.
