Sunday’s March Madness Round of 32 action tips off with a compelling matchup between No. 7 Miami and No. 2 Purdue. The Boilermakers raced past No. 15 Queens University on Friday 104-71.
Perhaps the best sign for Purdue was a strong performance from Trey Kaufman-Renn, who left the Big 10 Tournament title game early with a shoulder injury. Kaufman-Renn scored 25 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the blowout win against Queens University.
Meanwhile, the Hurricanes were locked into a tougher contest against No. 10 Missouri in their first March Madness tilt. Miami found their stride in the second half to beat the Tigers 80-66 behind Malik Reneau’s 24 points.
Bettors likely aren’t going to ease into the Sunday March Madness slate. We’ve got you covered with the latest odds for this game, by way of FanDuel.

Both of these teams are proficient at getting good looks at the basket. Miami finished first in the ACC in field goal percentage, while Purdue was second in the Big 10 in the same category. The Boilermakers shot over 50 percent from the field for the season, which is an elite threshold to reach.
With both teams likely to shoot the rock at a high percentage, this game might come down to other factors. The Hurricanes led the ACC in free throw attempts per game this season, which was evident in their first March Madness game where they shot 11 more attempts from the line than Missouri.
Meanwhile, Purdue led the Big 10 in three-point attempts, and will likely look to push the pace to get Braden Smith, Fletcher Loyer and C.J. Cox open looks from deep.
Whoever imposes their will on this game will likely come out victorious, and we’ll give Purdue the slight edge in that area.
