PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (CBS12) — A 19-year-old man from Stuart was arrested Tuesday morning after allegedly throwing a rock through the window of a federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) vehicle.
The Port St. Lucie Police Department (PSLPD) said it was part of an active operation at around 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 21 at the Wawa at 10308 SW Village Parkway.
Police said federal agents from ICE and Border Patrol had just completed an arrest when Pasqual Velasquez-Martin — identified as the son of the arrestee — picked up a river rock from the north side of the parking lot and hurled it at the occupied ICE vehicle, shattering its rear window.

Velasquez-Martin fled the scene but was quickly located by federal agents between the nearby MD Now Urgent Care and PDQ restaurant. He was taken into custody without further incident. No injuries were reported.
A witness confirmed that Velasquez-Martin was responsible for the act. PSLPD officers took custody of the suspect and charged him with throwing a deadly missile into an occupied vehicle, a second-degree felony. He was booked into the St. Lucie County Jail and is being held on a $25,000 bond.
