A crash at the end of the Howard Frankland Bridge, going southbound from Tampa into St. Petersburg, is causing major delays.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A crash at the end of the Howard Frankland Bridge heading southbound from Tampa into St. Petersburg is causing major delays Monday morning. 

The crash happened around 8:30 a.m. on the Pinellas County side of the bridge, just before 4th Street N. Three left lanes are blocked.

As of 9:20 a.m., it’s taking drivers an estimated 64 minutes to get across the Howard Frankland Bridge from Tampa. 

It’s not clear what caused the crash or if anyone was hurt.

Alternate routes are the Courtney Campbell Causeway and the Gandy Bridge.
