Construction worker killed in fall from I-395 onto Biscayne Boulevard, FHP says – NBC 6 South Florida

A construction worker died early Monday when he fell from the overpass of Interstate 395 in Miami, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The incident happened just before 4 a.m. when the victim, a man of unknown age, fell and landed 20 feet below onto Biscayne Boulevard, authorities said.

The man died at the scene. It was not immediately clear what caused his fall.

The incident closed at least one lane on I-395 before it reopened.

FHP said the investigation was active and will likely be led by National Transportation Safety Board.
