PINELLAS PARK, Fla. – A single-vehicle accident early Sunday morning sent a St. Petersburg man to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Pinellas Park police officers were called to the scene at the intersection of 75th Street North and Belcher Road North around 2:29 a.m. on March 22, 2026.
Investigators say 50-year-old Jeffrey Alan Adams was riding a black Harley-Davidson southbound on Belcher Road when the bike veered off the pavement.
The motorcycle entered the median and struck a tree just south of the intersection. Emergency responders transported Adams to a nearby hospital, where medical staff listed him in critical condition.

While the exact cause of the crash is still being determined, the Pinellas Park Police Department noted that investigators are looking into whether speed or impairment played a role in the motorcycle leaving the road.
Members of the department’s Traffic Homicide Unit are currently handling the investigation. Police stated there are currently no signs of suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.
