MONROE COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — Deputies released body camera footage capturing the DUI arrest of a Florida U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent with two young children in the car.
The shortened version of the nearly two hours of body cam footage released shows the suspect, 42-year-old Scott Deiseroth of Miami, failing a sobriety test and questioning authorities throughout the arrest.
Before the field sobriety test was administered, the footage shows Deiseroth questioning one of the arresting deputies’ race, saying “Are you Haitian?” repeatedly.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), deputies pulled Deiseroth over at 3:24 p.m. on August 13 after they allegedly received reports of him driving his truck recklessly over Seven Mile Bridge in the Florida Keys.

Deputies say they observed Deiseroth drive into oncoming traffic and swerve heavily before pulling him over near Mile Marker 36.5, per previous reports.
When deputies made contact with Deiseroth, they observed two small children in the car—ages 7 and 9—and detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from him.
Deputies say Deiseroth allegedly misidentified his location and gave the wrong direction of travel.
After failing the standardized field exercises, Deiseroth was taken to the Monroe County Jail, the sheriff’s office says.
The children in the vehicle were turned over to a family member, and the Florida Department of Children and Families was notified.
Deiseroth was booked for DUI and child endangerment. His occupation is listed as an ICE officer out of Miami, according to the MCSO website.
