A woman was shot and killed on International Drive early Tuesday, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to the 11900 block of International Drive South near Westwood Boulevard at about 2:45 a.m. after getting a call about an aggravated battery, according to a sheriff’s office press release.
Deputies found a woman in her 40s who had been shot. She was taken to an area hospital where she died, the release stated.
The shooting remains an active investigation.
