Florida Film Festival organizers have unveiled much of the special programming and lineup for this April’s fest in Orlando and George Costanza, for one, would be very happy about a featured guest.
The Florida Film Festival returns to the Enzian, Winter Park Events Center and Winter Park Regal for a 25th year in April, with 10 days’ worth of independent films across genre and length (160-plus, all told) on offer. The FFF includes documentaries, feature films, shorts and midnight movies in abundance, including new films that feature Bob Odenkirk (Normal) and Gragg Araki (I Want Your Sex).
As per usual, there will be a large handful of special programming in the mix with filmmakers and actors making the scene for Q&As and special screenings.
Some of the more notable events include “An Evening With Marissa Tomei,” featuring both an appearance from the actor and a screening of My Cousin Vinny on Friday, April 17; Jorma Taccone (of Lonely Island fame) bringing his film Over Your Dead Body to Enzian on Wednesday, April 15; and Carolina Caroline director Adam Rehmeier kicking off the FFF with a screening on Friday, April 10. Of course, there will be an opening-night bash, this time at the Winter Park Events Center adjoining the library also on Friday, April 10, with filmmakers and festival-goers hobnobbing the night away.
Florida Film Festival runs from April 10-19. Tickets are available through the Florida Film Festival’s website.
